This river rock was hand quarried by my crew and me. I had just completed this
project at another location and already had some of the stone on hand.
The inset to the right of the firebox now has an access door to the garage for replenishing firewood.
Notice the rock mantle above the firebox.
The fireplace is a pre-fab zero clearance metal unit with a metal chimney flue. These are popular units as they are inexpensive and easy
to install. They do not last long when used frequently to burn wood and must be replaced. A poor choice in the long run.
