I used Arizona strip stone to construct this outside fireplace/barbeque unit. The inset on the left is for the gas, drop in barbeque
unit. Firewood is stored within the arched opening on the right. Here is what this unit looks like from the back.
I also built a fireplace inside the house using this same stone. This stone is most commonly quarried as flagstone and for
paving. I did use four pieces of flagstone where this fireplace transitions to the chimney.
Here is part of the precast concrete patio I later installed in front of this barbeque.
