In this custom masonry design, I chose manufactured used brick for the fireplace face.
This turned out to be one of my favorite fireplace faces and it doubles as a structural support for the wood beam.
I really like the shape of the arch over the firebox opening.
I used the same brick for the kitchen surround in this Mediterranean style home.
Another client saw this unit and asked me to build one for him that was similar but with different brick, you can see it here.
