Here is a nice example of strip sandstone. The mantel is corbeled
flagstone.
On the patio of this Rancho Santa Fe home, you will find a patio barbecue and fireplace unit.
Where some of the mortar joints appear darker, indicates areas that have not completely dried yet.
Depending on the weather, all the mortar dries to a consistent color within a couple of weeks.
Many of my photos were taken immediately upon completion, often before the final brick or stone cleaning was done.
