This client asked me to build a natural looking mountain stream that would flow alongside, under, and into his extensive home. All the river rock you see, we hand quarried and hauled up this steep property using block and tackle with long ropes and a custom made stone cart, as there was no access for machinery. This long artificial mountain stream was hand dug, lined with reinforcing steel and the concrete base was pumped in from several hundred feet away. We coated the concrete with several thick layers of water-proof liquid rubber before we brought in the stone. This view is near the source at the top of the stream. It courses down along the side of the house and under part of the house here, finally terminating into this pool inside the house. From this pool, the water is pumped back to the top of the stream course. This is further downstream.
